Simply Italian, an event for Italian motoring enthusiasts, will return for its second year on May 13 at Beaulieu, sponsored by specialist insurer Adrian Flux. Italian vehicle owners are invited to join in by heading to Beaulieu.
Organizers are preparing to see red literally, with Ferraris likely to make up a good proportion of the cars at the event—as well as Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, Maserati, Lamborghini and others.
Ten of the participating vehicles will be chosen to join a cavalcade, and one will be chosen by the public for a People’s Choice award and a special-edition Beaulieu Trophy. Vintage Tyres, celebrating its 50th anniversary, will sponsor a runner-up prize.
Meridien Motors will display a number of Italian vehicles, and there will be trade stands, allowing visitors to buy parts and accessories. The Brabazon restaurant at Beaulieu will serve Italian food.
For entrants arriving on the day in their Italian vehicle and joining the event, individual tickets are £10 per adult and £5 per child. Entry is open from 9.30 a.m. To book tickets in advance, visit www.beaulieushop.co.uk or call 44 1590 612-888. Trade stand enquirers should call 44 1590 614-614.
Those not participating with an Italian vehicle can enter from 10 a.m. at regular ticket prices, which cover the whole Beaulieu attraction; the National Motor Museum and the Bond in Motion exhibition featuring 50 original James Bond vehicles, World of Top Gear, On Screen Cars, Beaulieu Abbey, and the Palace House and gardens.
